Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes the information collected when someone visits Kleberg County Released Inmates, how that information supports the site, and the limited situations in which it may be disclosed. It also explains what happens when a visitor uses a partner search tool, follows a link to a Texas government source, or sends a message. By continuing to use the site, a visitor accepts the practices stated here. Third-party providers, including search services and official record portals, apply their own privacy terms once a visitor reaches their systems.

Information You Submit

Terms Entered in Search Tools

When a visitor types a name, location, or other detail into a search tool, the query is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Kleberg County Released Inmates does not keep or log those search terms on its own system. The provider may collect and process the query under its separate privacy policy, so visitors should review that policy before submitting personal details.

Emails and Contact Messages

If a visitor sends an email or uses a contact form, the message and supplied contact details are retained as needed to read and answer the request. Those messages are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law. Messages should not contain sensitive identifiers or confidential records. This private site is not the Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office, the Kleberg County Detention Center, TDCJ, a court, or another records custodian.

Technical Data Collected Automatically

Basic technical and usage data may be recorded when a page loads. This information helps deliver pages, measure traffic, and diagnose problems. It may include:

  • The visitor’s Internet Protocol address
  • Browser name and version
  • Device category and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • The referring website, when one is available
  • Date and time records for visits or requests

Cookie Controls

Cookies may be used to understand how visitors move through the site and to support site functions. Most browsers allow a visitor to reject, delete, or limit cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may change how certain search, analytics, advertising, or preference features behave.

Purposes for Using Data

Collected information is used only for operational, search-routing, measurement, troubleshooting, and advertising purposes. Those uses include:

  • Keeping pages available, responsive, and reliable
  • Sending submitted search terms to the selected partner service
  • Understanding which record and release pages visitors find useful
  • Locating errors, abuse, and other technical faults
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect a visitor’s interests

Privacy on Linked Services

Kleberg County Released Inmates links to sheriff and corrections pages, public release records, Texas government portals, court resources, and outside search tools. A linked service controls its own website and data practices. Its privacy notice, not this one, governs information collected after a visitor clicks through. For example, the Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Texas VINE, federal BOP, and ICE systems each operate independently.

Some advertising providers may use their own cookies or similar technology to measure activity across multiple websites and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs on the provider’s systems. Visitors can use browser controls and any opt-out choices offered by the advertising provider.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be disclosed to service providers or authorities when needed for the functions described in this notice:

  • Search partners that process a query submitted through their tool
  • Analytics providers that measure site traffic and use
  • Advertising networks that deliver or assess advertisements
  • Law-enforcement agencies or other government bodies acting under a valid legal order

Reasonable Security Measures

Standard administrative and technical safeguards are used to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No website, network, storage system, or online transmission method is completely secure. Kleberg County Released Inmates therefore cannot promise that a breach, interception, or other security failure will never occur.

Visitors Younger Than Eighteen

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or legal guardian who believes a minor submitted personal data may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion of that information.

Requests About Personal Data

Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity verification, a visitor may ask to exercise available privacy rights. Texas residents may have qualifying rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas Business & Commerce Code chapter 541. A request may seek to:

  • Receive a copy of personal data held by the site
  • Correct personal information that is inaccurate
  • Delete personal data, when the law permits deletion
  • Opt out of certain forms of data processing

These requests apply to information controlled by Kleberg County Released Inmates. A visitor must contact the relevant sheriff, court, TDCJ, VINE, federal agency, or search provider about data held on that organization’s system. Texas Government Code chapter 552 governs access to qualifying state and local public information, not deletion of this private site’s operational data.

Changes to This Notice

This Privacy Notice may be revised as services, vendors, or legal requirements change. Any revised notice will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after publication of an update means the visitor accepts the revised practices.
